Countries where you can drive with your Indian Driving License

USA

USA finds only an English Driving license valid. In case you have a Hindi or regional language DL then you will need an International Driving Permit and a copy of I-94 form which marks the date you entered the United States.

France

In France also, you need to have a translated copy of your Indian Driving license. You can drive in France for a year.

Australia

In Australia, you can only drive for 3 months with an international driving permit to drive in New South Wales, South Australia, Australian Capital Territory, Northern Territory and Queensland.

Germany

Germany needs you to carry a translated copy of your Indian Driving license. You can also get the translation done from Embassy. You can drive in Germany for the first six months from the date of your arrival.

South Africa

South Africa accepts only English license with a photo and a signature. You can only drive there if you have an international permit card failing which you will not be given the car for hire.

United Kingdom

Want to drive in the most exciting city of London? The United Kingdom allows you to drive and enjoy in an around the city with a valid Indian driving license for a year. In UK, you are allowed to only rent a class of vehicle as per your driving license.

New Zealand

If you are aged above 21, then only you can drive in the country of New Zealand. If you have a valid Indian driving license, which is not in English, you will have to get the official translation done which should be approved by the Transport Agency of New Zealand. In New Zealand, you drive on the left side.
